PowerHockey Canada is focused on its international development through the high-performance training program and ventured across the globe to Australia in November 2019 to compete in the 2019 Australian Powerchair Hockey Club Championships. The tournament was held in Sydney and featured a total of seven teams. PowerHockey Canada entered two teams while the rest represented various Australian club teams. The three-day tournament ended with PowerHockey Canada’s two teams placing a respectable 3rd and 4th place. The fourth day of competition squared the two nations off for a couple of friendly matches. The first game was played using international rules and the second using North American rules. The experience in the Land Down Under was certainly one not soon forgotten.
